2020 – Chill Out Already!

Just when I think 2020 might be getting back to normal, more things happen! Double hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico, wildfires, violence across the lands … then Chadwick Boseman … it seems more than possible to take!

And to try and find the courage, peace and focus to write while all these things are going on? Seems impossible!

Taylor is at least able to find the will to write, and I applaud her for it. I’m not so focused to be able to do that! Somehow I need to find the will.

The good news is that my brain is starting to spark again. I was watching a mystery series and my thoughts started to “what if” – which is how I usually start down the road to writing again! Bring it on, I say! I’m so ready!

How do you guys find the will to write? Outside distractions are so numerous these days, and things can be pretty bad outside. It used to be that trips to new places would spark my writing muse, but we can’t really take trips! So, what to do??

I think I am just going to have to set aside time to write – and make myself do it. Just do it.

It is so easy to be overwhelmed by all that is happening this year. I feel … weird. I don’t know how to describe it! Just kind of “off.”

To shake it off, I think I need to start paragraph writing with Taylor again. That always feels good. It’s working on the writing craft without the burden/stress of making it perfect. Just writing for fun and practice.

Plus, fall is always my favorite time of year for paragraph writing. We tend towards the horror side of urban fantasy during this time of year.

I’d love to hear how you guys are managing to write during this fiasco of 2020! Let us know!
